Tax Rebate Information for Donations
In New Zealand, donations made to registered charities are eligible for a 33.33% tax rebate through the Inland Revenue Department (IRD). This means that if you donate e.g. $850 for the ACIC Iftar Night, you can claim back e.g. $283.33 from IRD.
To claim your rebate:
Keep your donation receipt – ACIC will provide an official receipt upon donation. If you lose your receipt or need a copy, please email info@alhikmah.org.nz. Submit a tax credit claim – You can do this online through myIR or by completing an IR526 Tax Credit Claim Form.
